Kings Of Leon & The Mess Hall

As most music fans are aware the
Big Day Out (music festival) has just swept through town for another triumphant summer. A joy to those that don't go to the festival is the 'side-shows' from band both international and local. A great double bill was presented last Wednesday, 1st Feb. Local 2 piece outfit,
The Mess Hall opened up (sorry, but I missed the Subways) with their mix of pumpin', thumpin' rock. It's been a while since i've seen them, but they still hold strong on stage and (like other two piece bands
The Black Keys &
White Stripes) certainly have no trouble filling a venue with sound. Excellent stuff. The
Kings Of Leon ,from Nashville have produced two fine albums and there mix of tight Southern Garage and wonderful musicianship translated perfectly onto stage. They were tight, they were ROOOOOCCCCKKKK and they certainly did ROLL!!!
